By week four of this grand experiment, the foundation for TPC had been laid. We had web presence; we had business cards. We had a cover for our launch novel. And then James and I dusted off our best business casual attire and boarded a plane from California to New York to attend the Self-Publishing Symposium.
I know we will always look back on this event, which culminated with the 3rd Power Summit, as a defining moment in the history of TPC. Not only was it our first time attending an industry function as publishers, as well as authors, but it was the first time we realized that not only could we do this and be successful, we were well on our way. We received a warm welcome at the SPS, and it was great to be amongst peers, reuniting with old friends, and making new ones. By the time we settled down for dinner on Sunday night, we had a lot to celebrate.
